InScience is an annual film festival taking place in the LUX Theater in Nijmegen.

On March 17th 2024, the Project Coordinator at the MPI (Dr Izabela Jordanoska) will give a talk on corpus methodology during the Stand Up Science sessions.

About the instructor

Izabela Jordanoska is the coordinator for Outreach & Dissemination of the MEDAL project. She has held multiple outreach talks on language diversity and linguistic methodology, two topics she is passionate about.

She obtained her PhD from the University of Vienna, with a thesis on information structure and discourse pragmatics in Wolof. She has also worked on reported speech and fairy tales in Macedonian, for which she created a corpus. Read more about the storytelling project here.
