Introduction to Open Science & How to open up your data

In this workshop by Jennifer Sander and Dirk van Gorp, we will dive into Open Science. The workshop will cover two important aspects of Open Science: Open Access Publishing and Open Data.

The first part consists of an introductory lecture on Open Science, followed by more detailed information about Open Access Publishing. Why publish Open Access and what are the different routes to doing so?

The second part of the workshop will be more hands-on and looking into different ways how researchers can make their own research data open, accessible, and reproducible. And also how to access and make use of other researchers’ open data.

The workshop will take about 2,5 hours in total.

The workshop will include some discussions in break-out rooms, but no prior knowledge is required.
