Hatice Zora

Hatice Zora is a Research Staff member at the Neurobiology of Language Department, Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics and Associate Professor of Linguistics at Stockholm University. Her main research interest lies in the nature and time course of brain responses to prosodic information at the micro and macro levels of spoken communication. Using electrophysiological and neuroimaging techniques, she investigates the extraction and integration of prosodic features that encode meaning at the lexical, sentence, and discourse levels.

She represents the MPI for Psycholinguistics on the MEDAL steering committee and works on the multimodal GoLD MEDAL project on how interlocutors use gesture, prosody and morphosyntax to mark negation in Turkish and Estonian.
