As MEDAL’s Project Manager for Outreach & Dissemination at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, Izabela is responsible for maintaining this website and the social media, sending out the newsletter, promoting the events, and organising the outreach events. If someone is sending you emails or tweets from MEDAL, there’s a high chance it is her (or, if it is related to mobility, Anastasia).
In addition, she is involved in the GoLD MEDAL research projects on the acquisition of grammar and lexicon, and pro-drop across languages.
Before joining the MEDAL team, Izabela obtained her PhD from the University of Vienna with a thesis entitled The pragmatics of sentence final and second position particles in Wolof and worked as a post-doc in the ERC-project Discourse Reporting in Storytelling at CNRS-LACITO Paris-Villejuif.
