The MEDAL Summer School in Computational Modelling marked the third and last installment of our methods-focused summer schools. Over the three years of the project, we have welcomed many participants, who were always eager to learn about new methods and discuss their research. Because of these motivated researchers, the summer schools were always bubbling with life and linguistics. However, there have been 7 early-career researchers who went above and beyond and participated three summers in a row. To award their efforts, we decided to give these participants something completely different: a medal.

MEDAL-medals have been awarded to: Maria Reile (University of Tartu), Jesse Holmes (University of Tartu), Sho Akamine (MPI), Ezgi Mamus (MPI), Laura Patrizzi (University of Basel), and Dorjderem Byambasuren (University of Kaiserslautern-Landau). An honorable mention goes out to Uğur Kan (Bogazici University and MPI), who participated online in the first summer school and in-person in the subsequent two.

These early-career researchers have participated in the complete set of MEDAL summer schools:
- 2023: Summer School in Corpus Linguistics
- 2024: Summer School in Experimental Linguistics
- 2025: Summer School in Computational Modelling
The work of these young and talented researchers will showcased on our website in the following months. Stay tuned!
